MetaToolsLab started from a simple frustration: every trade copier on the market either required a VPS, tied you to a single broker, or charged enterprise prices for basic functionality. We decided to fix that.
Why we built this
MetaToolsLab was founded in 2024 by traders managing multiple prop-firm and personal MT5 accounts. The existing options all had the same problems: copiers that needed every terminal on one machine or an expensive VPS, services that asked for our broker passwords, and pricing around £8 per account per month that punished anyone scaling past a handful of accounts.
So we built the copier we wanted to use: fully cloud-routed over HTTPS, authenticated by revocable per-account EA keys instead of credentials, correct on the hard edge cases — partial closes, lot-step differences, cross-broker symbol names — and priced from £1.50 per slave account.
The copy engine is live today, with an EA license manager, broker comparison tools, and a wider suite of MT5 utilities in active development. Every feature we ship is something we use on our own accounts first.
